Joe Gierisch loves photography. He is blessed to be able make a living doing something he loves. His commitment to excellence has led him to continually seek educational outlets and other opportunities to learn. Joe has been trained by several nationally renowned photographers in Commercial Photography, Portraiture, and Wedding and Event Photography. Technique is only part of what Joe can offer you. He has an eye for beauty and the unusual. Whether using a new lighting technique or choosing an unusual angle, he constantly searches for fresh new ways of photographically expressing his client’s message. Joe adapts well to changes in concept, schedule, and location.

A graduate of East Carolina University, Joe is dedicated to service: to his clients, to the photographic industry, to the community, and to his church.

Active in professional associations, Joe is a member of the Southeastern Professional Photographers Association, Professional Photographers of North Carolina, and the Photographic Society of the Triangle. In 2003 Joe was awarded the Fellowship Degree in Photography (F.Ph.) by the Professional Photographers of North Carolina. He is active in that organization and has served on its Board as a Director. Joe is a Past President of the Photographic Society of the Triangle, and currently serves as its Secretary. Joe also serves on the East Coast School Photographic Workshops Board of Advisors where he coordinates the publicity campaign for the school and has the unique opportunity to assist a world class instructor each year. Having attended the school as a student for ten years Joe knows the value of Continuing Education and is thrilled to be able help others get much needed learning opportunities, while continuing to learn, himself.

Joe has been on the photography teams for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Raleigh, as well as the Joy Prom in Raleigh which invites hundreds of citizens with special needs to enjoy a Prom night that is about them. He has also photographed for the Raleigh March of Dimes and various Christian events in and around the Triangle. Joe is a member of Operation Love Reunited which provides family portraits to deployed military men and women.
